Intramural Sports or IM Sports is the most popular program offered within the Creighton Recreation Department at Creighton University. We offer of 20 events a year. Our program offers you an opportunity to compete in a fun, safe, structured environment. You’ll meet lifelong friends and build excellent community through participation in the intramural sports program. 

                Yes, everyone is required to take the Intramural Sports Quiz.  This quiz has replaced the in-person captain’s meeting.

To participate, you must have an Intramural Sports Pass. It can be purchased for $25.00 dollars. The IM Pass is available for purchase online at Recreation.Crieghton.edu or in the Recreation & Wellness Office (Monday - Friday 8-5)

                Games are played at various facilities on/around Creighton’s campus. Your game will most likely be played on the Sports Complex next to McGloin Hall or in the Kiewit Fitness Center. If you have questions, do not hesitate to contact us. 

If you cannot attend your regular season game, please let us know by 4:00pm of game time. (4:00pm on Friday for Sunday games) By doing this we are able to communicate with your opponent’s so they do not show up to their game unnecessarily. 

Recreation & Wellness does our best to provide any equipment you need for participation.

We encourage participants to get creative and design shirts for competition. Teams should not wear black as that is what our student officials wear. In certain sports, we will have pinnies available for participants. 

Playoffs are scheduled at the end of all regular season games. Teams are seeded based on the following.

1. Win/Loss Record
2. Differential
3. Sportsmanship
4. Head-To-Head

In rare cases, teams may be reseeded based on other qualities. Playoffs consist of all teams in your league.  As a result, playoffs will occur on days/times that your team not have played on in the past.

Reschedules are not accepted for the first round of playoffs unless under significant circumstances. Please see the next FAQ for the reschedule procedure.

We do not take reschedule requests for regular season games. However, if you need to reschedule a tournament game, we are happy to work you with. Reschedules need to be requested via email (Recreation@Creighton.edu). Reschedules need to be mutually agreed upon by all impacted team captains and the Recreation & Wellness Office.
