Kelly-Shorts Stadium is home to the Central Michigan Varsity Football team, but some of the toughest games that have ever been played on the synthetic turf field have been between Intramural Sports participants. It is a fall tradition for the Flag Football Championships to be held inside of Kelly-Shorts. Club Rugby also holds home contests in Kelly-Shorts.
